TBILISI, Oct 11: Georgia goalkeeper Davit Gvaramadze has pulled out of Saturday’s Euro 2004 home qualifier against Russia after his father died Friday.
“He has already left the squad to prepare for his father’s funeral,” said Georgia coach Alexander Chivadze.
Lokomotivi Tbilisi goalkeeper Georgi Lomaia is now expected to get the starting role against the Russians in their group 10 clash with Torpedo Kutaisi’s Grigol Chanturia as back-up.
