KASSOWAL, Oct 9: Police have arrested the local president of the Millat Party for injuring a PPP worker.
Murtaza of Chak 120/13-A was pasting posters of a PPP candidate for PP-225 when Tasawwar Abbas shot at and injured him. Later, his two brothers also beat Murtaza. The injured was admitted to hospital where his condition was stated to be serious.
Police have registered a case against Tasawwar and his bothers.
PPP MEN HELD: Three PPP workers were arrested on Tuesday after they manhandled a PML-QA supporter here at Old Tehsil Chowk.
Mumtaz Husain, Fayyaz and Safdar had a dispute with PML-QA supporter Sajjad Ahmad Awan over pasting of posters. PPP workers beat up Sajjad with sticks.—APP
