By Our Correspondent

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 9: A couple was gunned down by the brother of  the woman near Daman Floor Mills on Dera-Tank Road, on Tuesday evening.

A squad of the Rescue-15, which reached the spot within moments,  apprehended Amir Badshah and his accomplice, Rafiqullah Wazir, a hit-man, who was hired for the purpose.

Mohammad Din, resident of Takht Bai, Mardan district, was married to Safia Bibi, who gave birth to four children. Meanwhile, Muhammad Din, the deceased, developed relations with Zaitoon Bibi, the younger  sister of his wife, and both fled leaving the family behind.

They married and were living in Kurai village when Amir Badshah, the brother of Safia and Zaitoon and a jail constable, serving at the D.I. Khan  jail, saw his brother-in-law and traced his house.

Amir Badshah hired the services of Rafiqullah Wazir, against Rs100,000 to kill the runaway couple.

On Tuesday, when the couple, with their two daughters, was on its way to the city on a bike, Amir Badshah and Rafiqullah opened fire on them.

Mohammad Din died on the spot whereas Zaitoon was rushed to the   hospital in a critical condition where she succumbed to her injuries.
