KARACHI: LEAs put on high alert

KARACHI, Oct 9: Sindh Governor Mohammadmian Soomro has directed the provincial administration to extend full cooperation to the Election Commission in conducting free and fair elections in addition to facilitating people to use their right of vote.

He was presiding over a high-level meeting at the Governor House on Wednesday.

The governor urged the Chief Secretary and other officials to ensure proper execution of directives issued by Chief Election Commissioner and code of conduct of Election Commission at all levels.

Mr. Soomro further urged the police and other security agencies to stay alert and ensure mutual cooperation so as to provide security to the people.—PPI
