KARACHI, Oct 9: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has declared that his party stood for the rights of the oppressed and was opposed to oppressive feudal system.

Addressing coastal areas of Keamari on Tuesday night, Mr Hussain expressed dismay over the lack of basic amenities to the people of the area even after 55 years and deplored that people were forced to commit suicides due to wrong policies of the regime.

He declared that when Sindh will get its rights, all those Punjabis and Pushtoons and others will also get equal rights as its citizen.

Addressing the election meeting in which a large number of al communities participated, Mr Hussain said a nefarious propaganda was unleashed by those who want to divide the people and plunge them against each other, as they did in the past through agent provocateurs.

He warned that the Establishment was against trying to create a bloody wedge between the people.

Referring to exploitative rule of the past regimes, the MQM chief referred to water shortage in the remote ares of Sindh.
