RAWALPINDI, Oct 8: Three Indian terrorists have been arrested by police, who have infiltrated into Pakistan to carry out sabotage activities during the Oct 10 elections, a police official told reporters here on Tuesday.
The superintendent of police, Inayatullah Farooqi, briefing the mediapersons at the Civil Lines Police Station, said three 30-bore pistols, 2 hand-grenades and 22kg explosive material were seized from them, identified as Hameedullah, Kabir Ali and Niamat Hameed, residents of Bara Mula and Ori towns of Indian held Kashmir.
The terrorists were arrested by a team of the Kalar Saidan Police, on late Monday night during patrolling near Dhan Gali bridge, the SP disclosed.
The terrorists, who are in their 30s, were brought to the Civil Lines police station in an armoured van and produced before the reporters amid tight security.
But the reporters were not allowed to question them.
The SP said the terrorists had confessed that they had been trained, paid huge amount by the Indian military intelligence and assigned to carry out sabotage activity on the eve of polling in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
