Fiery spell by Fareed
KARACHI, Oct 3: A fiery spell of pace bowling by Fareed Baloch helped Danish Sports register a 70-run victory over Asian CC, in the KCCA Zone III B Division League cricket tournament played Wednesday.
Batting first Danish Sports reeled off 224 for four wickets in 35 overs. Aqeel Ahmed top scored with 98, ably assisted by Rajesh Setaldas (46) and Sunil Puran (34).
Asian CC in reply were bundled out for 160 with Tariq Iqbal (41) and Kamran Khan (34), among the runs. Fareed picked up six wickets for 28 runs.
In another match played at the Nishtar Park, Young Baloch CC beat Ever Bright CC by three wickets. Batting first, Ever Bright CC were bowled out for 128 runs. Abdul Wahid (56) and Abdul Samad (37) were the main scorers. Sabir Hussain (4-11), Rizwan (3-25) and Murtaza (2-29) shared the wickets. Young Baloch CC reached the target for the loss of seven wickets.
