MULTAN, Oct 3: The following are Thursday’s upcountry commodity market rates in rupees:

FOODGRAINS (per 100 kg): Wheat 787 to 812; Maize 1125 to 1200; Jowar 625 to 750; Bajra 1,125 to 1,200; Barley 725 to 750.

Rice superior 2,250; to 2,800 Rice inferior 925 to 950.

SWEETS: Sugar White 2,065 to 2,090; Shakkar 1,750 to 2,200; Gur 1,500 to 2,150.

PULSES (per 100 kg) Masoor whole 2,150 to 2,650; Masoor dal 2,500 to 3,000; Grams Black 2,250 to 2,650; Grams white 2,300 to 2,850; Gram dal 2,750 to 3,050; Mash whole 2,000 to 2,100; Mash washed 2,650 to 3,150; Unwashed 2,100 to 2,150; Moong whole 1,700 to 1,750; Moong washed 1,900 to 2,150; Unwashed 1,800 to 1,850.

OIL AND OILSEEDS (per 100 kg): Ghee Desi 14,000 to 14,500; Rapeseed oil 4,875; Rapeseed 1,750 to 1,812; Cottonseed oil 4,266 to 4,314; Cottonseed 670 to 737; Cottonseed oil cake 804 to 817; Rapeseed oil cake 775;

SPICES (per 100 kg): Chillies grinded 4,800; Chillies Dandiwali 3,400 to 4,700; Dandicut 3,600 to 3,900; Coriander whole 2,750 to 3,750; Darchini 10,500 to 11,000.
