Labourer buried alive

By Our Staff Reporter

ISLAMABAD, Sept 30: A labourer was buried alive and another injured while digging the basement of a house in Sector F-11/4 on Monday night.

While quoting a survivor, Haram Ali, the police said the digging was in progress when a pile of mud collapsed. Two labourers, 17-year-old Mohammad Azeem and Haram Ali, were trapped.

Immediately after the incident happened, a large number of people from the surrounding areas rushed to the scene and pulled them out.

The two labourers were taken to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, where Azeem was pronounced dead by the doctors, while Haram Ali was shifted to the emergency ward.
