KPI beaten

KARACHI, Sept 29: Tapal CC moved into the semifinal of the Aqeel Memon Benefit cricket tournament, after routing KPI CC in the quarterfinal played at the KPI ground Saturday.

Having first use of the home wicket, KPI were bundled out for only 49 runs in 21.3 overs, with right-arm leg spinner Camren picking up three wickets without conceding a run. Paceman Farman Shah three for 20 and Akif Alvi two for three runs did the early damage.

Tapal in reply scored the winning runs in 10.3 overs while losing only one wicket. Hanif-ur-Rehman and Zafer Iqbal were both unbeaten with 20 runs apiece when victory came.
