Body of slain man exhumed

LAHORE, Sept 29: City police and relatives had the body of a person, who was killed and buried by a friend, exhumed from a Kamalia house on Sunday.

The body was that of Khalid Masih. Aged 32 and a father of four, he was a resident of Model Town.

The police took his alleged killer Tariq, alias Badshah, to Kamalia who identified the burial place.

Badshah had confessed to killing his friend after his arrest on Friday to grab his house in Youhanabad in Nishtar Colony.

The police said the body had decomposed and it was identified by family members through clothes, shoes and a wrist watch.

The body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy. A case was registered against the accused. Further investigation was under way.

FOUND DEAD: Two people, unidentified so far, were found dead in different parts of the city on Sunday.

One person, aged around 55, was found dead in New Anarkali while the body of the other person, about 30, was spotted along a road in Tibbi City.

The police have sent the bodies to the city mortuary for autopsy.
