HYDERABAD, Sept 28: The deputy convener, Mutahedda Qaumi Movement (MQM-A), Mr Aftab Ahmed Shaikh, advocate, in a statement issued here on Saturday, has condemned the dismissal of 76 officials of the Muslim Commercial Bank, without any show-cause notice and demanded of the president, Pervez Musharraf, to appoint a high-level committee to probe into the retrenchment of these officers.

He said due to the wrong policies of the chairman of the bank, Mian Mohammad Mansha, the interests of the bank were being harmed.

He accused, Mr Mansha of running the affairs of the bank in a non-professional way, which was causing trouble for the employees and they were being subjected to unnecessary pressures.—Bureau
