PESHAWAR, Sept 28: Chief Election Commissioner Justice Irshad Hassan Khan has urged the polling staff to ensure that no irregularity happens during the polling process.

He was speaking at a presentation, organized by the Integrated Rural Development Programme here on Saturday, for the training of polling staff.

The CEC said that fool-proof arrangements have been made to hold the October elections in a free, fair and transparent manner throughout the country.

“Holding of the upcoming elections in a free, fair and transparent manner is of prime importance for the restoration of democracy and ensure integrity of the country,” he said.

He said that the training course should focus on creating awareness and sense of motivation among the presiding officers and the polling staff.—Bureau
