GUJRANWALA, Sept 26: PML-C chief Hamid Nasir Chattha is contesting elections for NA-100, NA-101 and PP-103 while PML-QA has made seat adjustment with the PML-C on NA-101.

The PPP has fielded Asma Shah Nawaz Cheema against Hamid Nasir Chattha. She is the daughter of ex-MPA Shah Nawaz Cheema who is out of contest due to the graduation condition. The other candidates are Muhammad Saleem Aujalvi (PAT) and two independents Adnan Sarwar Cheema, son of former defence minister Ghulam Sarwer Cheema, and ex-MPA Shaukat Hayat Chattha. The PML-N and MMA have not pitched their candidates on this seat.

The PML-QA has put Bilal Ijaz against Hamid Nasir Chattha for NA-100 while the PPP and PML-N have not fielded their candidates. However, the MMA has nominated Allama Ehsan Ahmad and PAT Dr Pervaiz Gujjar on this seat.

In PP-101, PML-QA’s Amanat Ali Virk, PML-N’s Rao Muhammad Zahid Ali Khan, PPP’s Rana Raza and PML-C’s Chaudhry Khalid Pervaiz Virk are in the run.

For PP-102, PML-QA’s Rifaqat Husain Gujjar will face Chaudhry Ishtiaq Husain Dhillon (PML-N), Allama Salahuddin Hanif (MMA), Dr Pervaiz Gujjar (PTI) and Muhammad Arshad Aulakh (NA).

PML-QA former MPA Shaukat Hayat Chattha, PML-N’s Ijaz Ahmad, PPP’s Irshad Ahmad, MMA’s Muhammad Obaidullah Gohar, PTI’s Rao Allah Rakha, NA’s Chaudhry Muhammad Akhtar, PAT’s Abdul Rashid, PML-C’s Hamid Nasir Chattha, AQP’s Shahid Haroon Agha are contesting for PP-103. Two independents Sarfraz Khan Chattha and Adnan Sarwer Cheema are the other contenders.

For PP-104, the PML-QA has fielded Ashfaq Ahmad Tarar against Mustanser Gondal (PML-N), Ijaz Samman (PPP), Allama Asad Ali (MMA), Raja Navidullah (PML-C) and Mian Sajid Mahmood (AQP). Six independents — Malik Umer Hayat Baloch, Israrul Haq Cheema, Muhammad Azam Akber, Adnan Sarwer Cheema, Muhammad Akram Kalyar and Nadeem Ahmad are also in the race.
