Two killed in accident

DADU, Sept 26: Two people were killed on the spot and 40 others injured when a coach collided with a pickup near the Wahor village on the Indus Highway on Thursday.

The Larkana-bound coach collided with the pickup carrying fishermen towards the Manchhar Lake as a result of which two people were killed and 40 injured.

The names of those killed were ascertained as Wahid Dino Mallah (40) and Huzoor Bukhsh Mallah (25).

GASTROENTERITIS: Gastroenteritis has claimed the lives of two children and a woman while over 40 others were admitted to local hospitals in Mehar taluka on Thursday.

The outbreak of the disease was reported from Karam Khan Chandio and Gharo villages in union council Mangwani.

The names of the deceased are: Punhal, 8, Farzana, 8, and Mst Alam, 35.

The condition of 13, out of the 40 persons admitted in local hospitals, is said to be critical.

The EDO, health, denied occurrence of gastroenteritis-related deaths.
