HYDERABAD, Sept 26: The activists of some NGOs and political parties, under the banner of joint action committee, staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Thursday against the killings of seven persons in Karachi.

The activists, belonging to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, Labour Party of Pakistan, Journalists Resource Centre, Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party, Communist Party of Pakistan, Democratic Commission for Human Development, Awami Tehrik and other organizations, were carrying placards inscribed with slogans against terrorism and demanding arrest of the killers.

The protesters demanded hidden hands behind the killings should be exposed and awarded punishment.

They also demanded to take measures to check terrorist activities.

APMA: The leaders of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA), Shahbaz Bhatti and Saleem Khokhar, in a joint statement issued here, condemned the terrorist attack on the office of the Idara Amn-o-Insaf and assailed the government for its failure to protect the life and property of the Christians.
