KARACHI, Sept 19: Afzal Sports beat Rangers Gymkhana by 75 runs and Wakenhut CC got the better of Ishaq Gymkhana by seven wickets, in the KCCA Zone III “B” Division league cricket tournament.

At the Hill Park ground, Afzal Sports batting first rattled up 264 for four in their 35 allotted overs through Zahidullah Jan (65), Ghulam Haider (64) and Ashan Ashfaq (52).

Rangers Gymkhana in reply were bowled out for 189 runs, with Harris Jawed (56), Osma Khan (55) and Abdul Moiz (25), among the runs. Shahid Gaba five for 49, Ghulam Haider two for 27 and Faisal Khan two for 19, bowled well for the winners.

In the other match played at Sadiq Sports ground, Ishaq Gymkhana batting first were bowled out for 182 in 32.4 overs with Noushad Khan scoring 45 and Ashfaq Ahmed 25. Waheed Khan five for 35, and Shoukat Mirza three for 37 caused the damage.

With Faisal Waqar stroking 74 and Burhan Mehmood chipping in with (59), Wakenhut CC reached the winning target in 23.4 overs after losing only three wickets.
