CDWP to meet on Oct 3

ISLAMABAD, Sept 18: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) is meeting here on Oct 3 to approve 30 development projects worth over Rs40 billion.

Official sources said here on Wednesday that the meeting to be presided over by Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Dr Shahid Amjad Chaudhry will mainly approve development projects in health, education, roads, power and infrastructure sectors.

Sources said that since power demand was increasing the government has been directed by President Gen Pervez Musharraf to undertake power projects preferably hydel power generation.
