KARACHI, Sept 18: The People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPP) kicked off its polls campaign on Tuesday here, following the inauguration of over 12 election offices by PPP Deputy Secretary-General Mian Raza Rabbani in different parts of the city.
According to a press release of the party issued here on Wednesday, he visited Bilal Colony, Awami Colony, Sharafi Goth, Panhwar Goth, Mansehra Colony, Quaid Abad, Sherpao Colony, Manzoor Abad Colony and Zafar Town, and informed the people, who had gathered to welcome him, that the present government had surpassed all limits of retribution against the party and its Chairperson Benazir Bhutto.
However, people of the country would respond strongly against the government by casting their votes in favour of the PPP candidates on Oct 10.
He claimed that party had evolved a comprehensive plan of reformation for the underprivileged segment of the society including the labourers and farmers.
“The party does not believe in downsizing policy as all those retrenched by the present government, would be restored back to their jobs, once the party assumes reign of the country”, he said.
“Under a well-evolved policy, new investment opportunities would be created which would help establishing a network of industries in every nook and corner of the country and overcome the rising menace of joblessness” , he told the people.
He, pointing at the unprecedented rise in the rates of utilities, said the people had been overburdened by the frequent increase in utility charges, which had gone beyond their means.
