LARKANA, Sept 17: Thirty candidates are in the run for four National Assembly seats in Larkana district.

Almost all political parties, including the PPP, PML (QA), MQM, PML (N), MMA and the National Alliance, have fielded their candidates on the seats.

For NA-204, Larkana-I, Mohammad Anwar Bhutto (PPP), Riaz Hussain Kanasiro (MQM), Babu Sarfraz Jatoi (PML-N), Mohammad Ashique Dhamraho (MMA), Ms Nasim Akhtar Sahito (NA), Syed Pir Shah (PML-QA) and Mohammad Younas Bokhari (independent) are the candidates.

Hizbullah Bughio (PPP), Ghulam Serwar Siyal (PPP), Manzoor Ali Cholyani (PML-N), Qadir Bakhsh Brohi (PPP), Atalf Hussain Unnar (PML-QA), Allah Bakhsh Unnar (PML-QA) and independent candidates, Mukhtiar Ali Tunio, Ghulam Yasin Mirani, Ali Gohar Tunio, are in the run for NA-205, Larkana-II.

For NA-206, Larkana-III, the contestants are Khalid Iqbal Memon (PPP), Syed Asghar Hussain Shah Rashidi (NA) and Fida Hussain Magsi (PML-N).

Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro (MMA), Shahid Hussain Bhutto (PPP), Ubedullah Lolai (MQM), Farooque Ahmad Bhutto (PPP-SB), Arif Ali Jalbani and independent candidates, Mazhar Ali Mughal and Manzoor Ali Lashari, are contesting for NA-207, Larkana-IV.

Meeting: The deputy political counsellor of the American Embassy, Islamabad, Dundas Mc Cullough, on Tuesday held a meeting with Sindh National Front chief Mumtaz Ali Khan Bhutto in Mirpur Bhutto village.

They discussed the prevailing political situation in the country, particularly the October 10 election.

The political counsellor also held a meeting with Altaf Hussain Unnar, the district president of the PML (QW), in Aliabad village.

SUPPORT: The chief of the Khaksar Tehrik, Dr Hamiduddain Ibn Al-Mashraqi, on Tuesday announced to support PPP candidates in Larkana district in the ensuing election.
