Water supply schemes remain inoperative

HARIPUR, Sept 16: About 15 water supply schemes completed under the Workers Welfare Board programme in Haripur nine months back are yet to be made operative, sources said.

These schemes were approved and executed by the Workers Welfare Board in different villages and localities. The plan was undertaken to facilitate water supply to the areas mainly inhabited by the working class.

The official work involved in handing over the schemes to the union councils is the main reason behind the delay.—Correspondent
