ISLAMABAD, Sept 15: The Islamabad police have proposed to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to build a boundary wall around Faisal mosque to ensure foolproof security and also deploy more CDA security guards, an official source said on Sunday.
The police also guard the mosque.
A similar plan, to build a boundary wall around the diplomatic enclave after the terrorist attack on church, had been initiated but it appears to have been shelved by the authorities concerned, said a senior police official of Islamabad.
The interior ministry had asked the Islamabad police to send a complete report on Protestant International Church attack case within next 24 hours, official source said.
It added that the police have been directed to send the investigation report comprising identities of the accused arrested in connection with the church attack and also those who had been questioned by the police so far.
The interior ministry has directed the chief commissioner Islamabad and top police officials to send the progress report on the church attack case by Monday.
