Kissinger backs Pakistan
NEW YORK, Sept 14: The former US secretary of state, Henry Kissinger, has appreciated Pakistan’s role in international anti-terrorism drive and urged the United States to cooperate with its economic development.
“We appreciate the contribution which Pakistan has made in war against terrorism. We are very grateful of the support Pakistan is giving to the American efforts in Afghanistan and in general in the war against terrorism”, Kissinger said while commenting after holding a meeting with President Pervez Musharraf here on Saturday.
“I think the US should cooperate with Pakistan in its economic development,” he said.—APP
