Lahore and Okara in super round

LAHORE, Sept 14: Lahore and Okara qualified for the Punjab Inter-district super round baskeball tournament from the middle zone after winning their respective semifinals at the Iqbal Parks Sports Complex, Friday.

Dates for the super round, in which six teams will take part, will be announced later. Punjab has been divided into three zones included upper, middle and lower. From upper zone, Chakwal and Sargodha entered the super round while from lower zone, Bahawalpur and Khanpur.

Lahore defeated Gujrat 70-59 in the first semifinals after taking 40-31 lead at the halftime.

Okara beat Toba Tek Singh 69-55 after mustering a close 35- 32 lead at the halftime.

The final between Lahore and Okara will be held on Sept 18 at 5.30pm.
