ABBOTTABAD, Sept 14: Hazara Qaumi Mahaz and Pakistan Awami Tehrik have agreed on seats adjustment in the Hazara division and Islamabad.

The agreed formula was announced by the head of Hazara Qaumi Mahaz, Malik Muhammad Asif, and PAT provincial secretary general Naseer Khan Jadoon at a press conference here on Friday.

Under the agreement, HQM’s Asif Malik will be the joint candidate of the two parties on NA-17, Abbottabad-I, and PAT’s Aurangzeb Chaudhry will contest for NA-18, Abbottabad-II.

Raja Waqar and Abdul Wahab Qureshi will contest the election for PA-44 and PF-45 on PAT’s tickets, while another PAT candidate Shehzad Ahmad Khan will vie for the two seats, PF-46 and PF-47. Sardar Ashair of HQM will be run for PF-48.

Capt. Sanaullah (retd) will be the joint candidate of the two parties for NA-48, Islamabad.

HQM president Malik Asif said that talks on seat-to-seat adjustment with other political parties were also being held.
