MOSCOW, Sept 11: Russia has delivered 10 Su-30 jet fighters to India in line with a 1996 deal between Moscow and New Delhi, the head of the jets’ manufacturer said on Wednesday.

Twenty-two similar warplanes are to be delivered to India by the end of next year, the chairman of the Irkuts aviation factory, Alexei Fyodorov, informed the ITAR-TASS news agency.

A total of 144 Su-30 fighters are to be manufactured under licence in India over the next 15 years, Fyodorov added. —AFP
