Kuwait asks Iraq to allow inspection

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 7: Kuwait on Friday again rejected a military action against Iraq and called on Baghdad to respect the United Nations Security Council resolutions on weapons inspections.

In an interview with Arabic daily ‘Al Watan’, Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah said, Kuwait was against any military action Iraq and urged that Baghdad should also take into consideration the welfare and safety of its people.

Sheikh Sabah said that he would meet the Arab foreign ministers on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York.
