ISLAMABAD, Sept 4: Rawal Town and Diamond Clubs qualified for the quarterfinals of the Islamabad Cricket Association Independence Trophy by beating Model Town Gymkhana and Al-Fateh respectively.

Also going through to the last eight were PTV and CRA. In the quarterfinals, Diamond will play CRA with Youngster taking on Imran Memorial. Rawal Town will meet PBC and CDA will face off PTV.

Diamond bt Al-Fateh by 10 wickets. Al-Fateh 38 all out (Muhammad Ismail 6-13, Sajid Durrani 3-14), Diamond 39 for no loss.

PTV bt XI Star by four wickets. XI Star 134 all out (Nawab Hussain 30, Noman Sadique 3-28, Ishtiaq Malik 3-23, Naseer Jnr 2- 16); PTV 135 for six (Naseer Jnr 41, Khurrum 26, Muhammad Altaf, Rizwan Bhatti, Muhammad Fiaz and Zafar Mahmood one wkt each).

CRA bt P&T by three wickets. P&T 126 all out, CRA 127 for seven.
