Three die of mysterious disease

GUJAR KHAN, Sept 4: Three persons died of a mysterious disease which broke out in Phimble village some 35kms from here.

According to Dr Aslam Bhatti, senior medical officer of Rural Health Centre Daultala, some locals informed him that three persons of Phimble village died after complaining of stomach ache. Two other persons in similar condition were shifted to Islamabad. Dr Bhatti was of the view that the disease might be cholera.

He said a medical camp had been set up and medicines distributed among the villagers to take precautionary measures.

Those who died were Mohammad Riaz, 55, Safdar, 22 and a 35- year-old woman.

Those shifted to Naval Hospital Islamabad are Rafia Bibi and Shehzad Ahmed.
