BEIJING, Sept 3: Chinese President Jiang Zemin has stressed the need for dialogue between India and Pakistan to peacefully find solutions for all outstanding issues and differences.

During his 20-minute long meeting with Pakistan Ambassador Riaz Mohammad Khan at the Great Hall of the People here on Tuesday, the Chinese president expressed satisfaction over the growing Sino-Pakistan cooperation in various fields.

Ambassador Riaz who presented his letters of credence to President Jiang Zemin lauded the constructive role being played by China internationally.

The Pakistani ambassador conveyed warm and cordial greetings from President Pervez Musharraf to President Jiang Zemin who warmly reciprocated the sentiments and recalled his several meetings and fruitful exchange of views with the president.

Greeting the ambassador on his appointment, Jiang Zemin assured him of full cooperation and support from the Chinese government, consistent with the traditionally close friendship between Pakistan and China.

The Chinese President mentioned about the growing relations between the two friendly countries especially in the economic field.—APP
