TOBA TEK SINGH, Sept 3: Three joint candidates of the PML-N and MMA for PP-86, PP-87 and PP-90 have alleged district Nazim Chaudhry Muhammad Ashfaq is illegally supporting the government’s blue-eyed candidates.
At a press conference on Tuesday, advocates Rana Muhammad Anwar, District Bar Association President Mian Shahid Iqbal and Chaudhry Khalid Javed also alleged the government’s machinery was being used for violating the election rules. They demanded the chief election commissioner to take stock of the situation.
VENUES: The district government has identified 14 places for parties to arrange public meetings, a press release stated on Tuesday.
The places in district headquarters are Akbari Masjid plots, Jhang Road stadium, Housing Colony Stadium, Gojra Road park, Rahmanpura park and Primary School, Rajana Road.
Old cattle market, committee ground, bus stand park and Eidgah of the Balwantpura locality in Gojra, Park Zeeshan Colony and Municipal grounds in Kamalia and lady park and sports stadium in Pirmahal have been fixed.
