THATTA, Sept 3: Hundreds of employees of the irrigation department here on Tuesday dragged accountant Akhtar Lodhi out of his office and manhandled him to protest against the non-payment of their salaries and alleged racketing in their service books.
The low-grade employees of the irrigation department, Kalri Baghar Division, had repeatedly complained to the executive engineer about the chicanery entries and malpractice by the office accountant in their service books and the delaying tactics in disbursement of their salaries.
