SANGHAR: Peasant killed, two injured by bandits

By Our Correspondent

SANGHAR, Sept 3: A man was killed and two were injured by some bandits in the Bago Wadadani police jurisdiction near Shahdadpur on Monday night.

Patasho Mallah, 20, with Amb Kubbar, Jumo Bheel and three other peasants of Mahi Khan Wassan Goth, went to a nearby field to bring a log of wood.

A gang of armed bandits reached there and fired at them, killing Mallah on the spot and wounding Kubbar and Bheel.

On their screams and sound of firing, the villagers sitting at a nearby Otaq (guest room) also started firing. A large number of people from the surrounding villages also reached the Wassan Goth.

The police was also informed, who reached there and started tracking the bandits but failed.

A week ago, some landlords of the area, including Ghulam Mustafa Bughio, Khuda Bux Mari, Papoo Mohajir, Jan Mohammad Khebar and others, received letters from the bandit, Molai Khoso, who demanded Rs500,000 protection money from each of them.

The landlords were threatened of dire consequences if the demands were not fulfilled.
