Our Sports Reporter adds from Islamabad:

Rain continued to play spoil-sport as not a single ball could be bowled on the second day of two matches.

At the Shalimar Ground where Islamabad were to resume their first innings against Kohat, the umpires carried out four inspections before deciding that there would be no play. Water seeped through the covers and left puddles on the outfield because of heavy overnight rain.

Islamabad, 279 for five in their first innings from 77 overs, were due to play three more Monday morning.

Meanwhile at the KRL Stadium in Rawalpindi where Karachi Blues are to face Fata, the scoreboard remained blank for the second day running.

Our Sports Correspondent adds from Lahore:

The second day’s play in the match between Lahore Blues and Sheikhupura was washed out at Sheikhupura Stadium because of heavy rain.

Sheikhupura scored 294 for nine in their first innings Sunday. Lahore Blues were 12 for two in reply.
