Film to show how militants obtain funding

By Our Correspondent

PARIS, Sept 1: A how-to guide for financing political terrorism and religious extremism to be broadcast on Sept 2 on the Franco-German educational channel Arte — provides detailed information on how Islamic extremists finance their operations, and that some political leaders would have preferred that the documentary not be shown at all.

Still, Arte, which is financed by both the French and German governments, has chosen to go ahead with broadcast of the documentary — “Les Blanchisseurs du Jihad” (The Launderers of the Jihad) — a work that has been authored by Michel Koutouzis and Patrice Le Gall du Tertre, two French citizens who are also specialists on the financing of international terrorism.

Among the film’s coproducers, is Francoise Castro, who is the wife of former French Prime Minister Laurent Fabius.
