GILGIT, Aug 30: Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) Chairman Dr Badaruddin Soomro has approved three institutes of technology to improve the agriculture infrastructure in Northern Areas.

The council has taken necessary measures to appoint scientists to teach at the institutes and appointments are likely to be finalized in a couple of months, sources told APP here on Friday

The sources said the institutes would work under the umbrella of the PARC with their headquarters at Gilgit for the uplift of Northern Areas.

The institutes will prepare survey reports regarding the basic needs of the communities of Northern Areas related to agriculture.
