Supply from Khanpur Dam resumes


RAWALPINDI, Aug 28: Water supply from Khanpur Dam has been started on experimental basis to overcome water shortage in Rawalpindi city, sources said on Wednesday.

The sources said a network of water pipelines had been established and at present testing of the pipelines was underway. The project has been completed with the cooperation of Asian Development Bank.

The project management unit has constructed four big water tanks at Shamsabad Public Pak on Murree Road, Pir Wadahi and Khyaban-i-Sir Syed.—PPI
