HR bodies move to stop Zionist website

PARIS, Aug 26: French human rights groups have decided to go to court to attempt to put a halt to a new Zionist racist website — www.amisraelhai.org — that has been encouraging French Jews to physically attack supporters of peace in the Middle East.

French authorities, who’ve received many complaints with regard to the ostensibly racist character of the website and the patently criminal nature of the acts it encourages, say for the moment there’s very little they seemingly can do as the site is apparently not registered in France or in the European Union.

The French-language website has published a blacklist of French celebrities and political figures who are accused of being anti-Israeli for the simple reason they support peace in the Middle East. It encourages internet users to physically assault the persons named if ever they cross their path.

Those targeted on the website include such French personalities as filmmaker Mathieu Kassovitz, novelist Tahar Ben Jelloun, singer Sapho, the actresses Isabelle Adjani and Yasmina Benguigui, comic Guy Bedos, actors Michel Piccoli and Jean-Pierre Bacri, and screenwriter Agnes Jaoui.

As some of the persons named are themselves Jewish their names are followed by a star of David, with internet users told they should be even more severely punished for their support for peace.
