More candidates file papers

FAISALABAD, Aug 25: At least 39 more candidates filed nomination papers for 11 national and 22 provincial assemblies’ seats in the district on Sunday after a two-day extension in the date.

Most of the aspiring candidates belonging to the PPP (parliamentarians), PML (QA), PML-N, MMA, and other political parties had already submitted their papers on Saturday.

However, the prominent candidates who submitted papers on Sunday are: Former MNA Nadir Pervaiz (PML-N) from NA-85, ex-MPA Rana Aftab (PPPP) from PP-68, ex-MPA Badaruddin Chaudhry (PPPP) from NA-84, ex-MPA Fazal Karim (JUP)/(PML-N) from NA-85, ex-(MPA) Amanullah Khan (MP) from PP-64, ex-MPA Fazal Hussain Rahi (MP) from NA-84, ex-MPA Zaheeruddin Ahmad (PML-QA) from PP-55, ex-MPA Chaudhry Talib Hussain (PML-QA) from NA-81, ex-MNA Nisar Akbar (PPPP) from NA-83, ex-MNA Zahid Sarfraz (PML-N) from NA-85 and ex-MPA Sardar Shahid Iqbal (PPPP) from PP-53.
