KARACHI, Aug 24: A large number of people participated in a walk on Saturday that was organized to create awareness among the masses regarding substandard and counterfeit goods, particularly adulterated eatables products, that had flooded the markets.

The walk, organized by the Consumer Protection Council (CPC) of The Helpline Trust, began at the National Bank’s head office on the I. I. Chundrigar Road and after passing through various city roads concluded at the Karachi Press Club.

Social worker Jimmy Engineer and Hamid Maker of the Helpline Trust led over a couple of kilometres long walk in which many of the participants were also carrying placards and banners with slogans against the adulterated food stuff.
