HYDERABAD, Aug 19: The chairman, Sindh Taraqqi Passand Party (STPP), Dr Qadir Magsi, has announced on Monday that in view of the decision taken by its central committee, which held a two-day session on Aug 17 and 18, the party would boycott the general elections scheduled to be held on Oct 10.

Dr Magsi said this while addressing a news conference at the Hyderabad Press Club.

He said his party will also not support the kings’ party or any other alliance or power-hungry individuals.

He bitterly criticized the unscrupulous and unconscionable politicians who sold their conscience to reach the corridors of power.

He said opportunism and political deals had become the culture of our politics.
