KARACHI, Aug 19: The President of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Maulana Shah Ahmed Noorani, on Monday met the President of the Sindh Democratic Alliance, Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, at the latter’s residence and held negotiations on electoral adjustment.

Both sides discussed the issue, and it was decided that in the next meeting, the names of joint candidates would be considered.

The negotiations were attended by SDA Vice-President Mir Hasan Khoso, Taj Mohammed Shaikh and Naim-ur-Rehman while Siddiq Rathore accompanied the JUP Chief.

SDA Chief Imtiaz Shaikh described the talks with the MMA as a welcome step and said that the electoral adjustment with like minded political and religious parties would produce good results.

He said that Maulana Noorani is our elder and that the SDA’s contact with the MMA would continue, adding that he hoped that all matters between the two alliances would be resolved.
