LAHORE, Aug 11: A meeting of the heads of the ARD parties has been called for Aug 19.
Istaqlal Party chief Manzoor Gilani will play host.
The package of constitutional amendments, expected to be announced on Aug 14, the election schedule and the general political situation in the country will come under discussion. Istaqlal Party chief met ARD president Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan on Sunday and requested him that the proposal of converting the ARD into an election alliance should be placed on the Aug 19 meeting agenda.
