KARACHI: Protest held against attacks on churches

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Aug 9: A demonstration was organized by the National Christians Party at the Press Club on Friday afternoon to protest against attacks on churches and other Christian organizations.

The demonstrators urged the government to take stringent steps against the people involved in acts of terrorism and award them exemplary punishment.

They said that terrorists were trying to creat a law and order situation and harm the cordial relations existing in various communities in the country. They said that the attackers were aimed to spread unrest among the peaceful Christian community.

The demonstrators said that terrorists were carrying out acts of terrorism on the directives of their foreign masters and killing people in the name of religion, whereas no religion taught its followers to kill innocent people.

The demonstrations raised slogans demanding arrest of those who attacked the churches in Bahawalpur and Islamabad and the missionary school in Murree.
