FAISALABAD, Aug 8: Robbers took away cash, gold ornaments, household articles and other valuables worth Rs4 million in 11 strikes in the city and its adjoining areas during the last 24 hours.

Two masked men on a two-wheeler snatched Rs200,000 from trader Zahoorul Haq in the jurisdiction of the Rail Bazaar police station.

Three robbers forced their entry into the house of another trader, Sharif Ahmed, in Ghulam Muhammadabad Colony and fled away with thousands of rupees, gold ornaments and other articles.

Robbers held up the family of shopkeeper Ghulam Hussain in Rasool Nagar and took away cash and gold ornaments worth Rs800,000.

A gang of robbers looted hundreds of thousands of rupees, gold ornaments and valuable household articles from the house of another shopkeeper, Pervez, on Faisalabad-Sargodha Road.

Two robbers snatched Rs6,500 salary and official files from Ms Nusrat Shaheen, an employee of the Population Welfare Department, at gunpoint near Hameed Palace.

Robbers looted cash and other valuables from the house of Abdul Waheed in Ghulam Muhammadabad Colony.

A gang of robbers looted hundreds of thousands of rupees, foreign currency, gold ornaments and other valuables from the house of Rashid Mahmood in Allama Iqbal Colony. Mr Mahmood has recently returned from England.

Some unknown men took away cash and gold ornaments worth Rs1.6 million from the house of Muhammad Akram in Haseeb Shaheed Colony, in the absence of the family.

The two-wheeler (No FDW 5979) of Suleman Arshad was stolen from Usman Colony, Faisalabad-Sargodha Road.

Robbers hijacked the motorcycles of Mujahid Hussain and Tufail Ahmad from Zila Council and Batala Colony areas respectively.
