HYDERABAD, Aug 8: A police inspector here on Wednesday identified a leader of the Sindh Tarraqi Pasand Party (STPP), Ghulam Mohammad alias Chanda, in the double murder case of DSP Allah Bux Jaskani and his driver, Mohammad Aslam, before a court of the additional district judge.

Inspector Phuley Shah, the complainant of the case, recorded his examination-in-chief before the court and thereafter he was cross-examined.

The inspector told the court that during a patrol duty, he heard gunshots and rushed to the spot where he saw three persons riding on a motorcycle. Two of them were armed with kalashnikovs and one was carrying a TT pistol. He said one of the accused was Chanda. He said they were firing and then fled towards Mahar Shah locality.
