KARACHI, Aug 8: The Karachi building control authority’s (KBCA) team, on Thursday, demolished the partition walls of 25 shops which were illegally raised on the mezzanine floor of Doctors Plaza on Sharah-i-Faisal.

A spokesman for the KBCA said that these shops have also been sealed.

The KBCA team also demolished the illegally extended mezzanine floor of Arif Arcade situated in Bahaduryar Jung Society, near Bahadurabad, the spokesman said, adding that the demolition squad of the KBCA, left remaining the illegally extended portion of the mezzanine floor after the owner of the building gave an undertaking that he himself would arrange the demolition of the unauthorized portion of the buildingin the next 24 hours.
