HYDERABAD, Aug 6: The workers of Latifabad taluka council, under the banner of workers union (CBA), demonstrated at the taluka council office against non-payment of their salaries for June and July.

Speaking at the rally, the chairman of the workers union, Bashir Niaz and the general secretary, Khursheed Anwar, criticised the bureaucracy and demanded of the government to find out the causes of the non-payment of the salaries.

They demanded that the workers should be exempted from the payment of penalty on the utility bills because they did not get salaries on time.

The general secretary of the CBA union, Qasimabad taluka council, and the chairman of CBA union, Hyderabad city, also spoke to the protesters.

They warned the government of the disastrous consequences of the callous disregard of the workers’needs.

They said while the employees of the three taluka councils of Hyderabad had not received their two months salaries, the employees of the Katchi Abadi had not received salary for May.

The taluka Nazim, Latifabad, Abdul Jabbar Khan, supported the demands.
