12 rapists booked after 25 days

FAISALABAD, Aug 4: The local police on Saturday registered another rape case on the report of the victim against a dozen people after 25 days of the incident.

Fareeda Bibi (18) lodged an application before the Factory Area police claiming that she was kidnapped by PCO owner Saeed Ahmed who debased her in a clinic of his friend in Samanabad.

Two persons Khalid and Asif also raped her in the clinic at pistol point. After six days, she was shifted to another place in Samanabad reportedly owned by Mehmood Ahmed where three more outlaws raped her. She alleged that she was raped by a dozen people in different places during the nine days of her abduction.

She claimed that she succeeded in escaping from a house in Samanabad.

During the last 25 days, she said she repeatedly approached the Factory Area police and notables of the area but all her efforts proved an exercise in futility.

As a last resort, she lodged a written complaint with a senior police officer who ordered for the registration of cases against the culprits.

However, the Factory Area police are reluctant to arrest the ‘influential’ culprits.
