Jehangir replaces Maleeha

ISLAMABAD, Aug 1: Ashraf Jehangir Qazi, former Pakistani High Commissioner to India, has been appointed ambassador in Washington in place of Maleeha Lodhi, foreign office said on Thursday.

Mr Qazi, a career diplomat, has also served as Pakistani ambassador in Syria, German Democratic Republic, Russia and People’s Republic of China.

He has also served in key positions in foreign office.
